You Are The Only Person Who Can Get You To Lose Your Weight!

It is easy to blame other people for things that go wrong in our lives. It really is. When things aren't going the way we'd like them to go, it is much easier to lay the blame on others or on external circumstances or situations outside of our control. Why? Well, taking the blame for things that go wrong or taking ownership of a situation might hurt our egos. Taking the blame might remind us of our limitations and our bad choices. Placing blame on other people or circumstances beyond our control makes us feel better and preserves our ego. Unfortunately, making excuses often means we fail to make progress. If you truly want to lose weight, you have to take full responsibility. This is the first step to making real progress.
Taking responsibility leads to action
When you take responsibility for your weight loss instead of laying blame on your genetics, your childhood or your environment, you take control of your life. Since you are to blame for the situation, your decisions are the cause of your present predicament. Accordingly, you can make other decisions to produce a different outcome. In short, you become the center of the action. You become the prime mover and decision maker for the things that happen in your life instead of a hapless bystander who is caught by outside forces with no power to change things. When you say 'I chose to be in the shape I am in now,' you are basically saying 'I have the power of choice over my life.' If you can choose to be overweight, you can choose to become leaner and healthier. Don't rob yourself of your power to choose by playing the blame game.
What you focus on grows
Once you take responsibility, you can take action. By taking ownership of your situation, you can then focus. The truth is very simple: wherever your focus goes, energy flows. When you are too busy avoiding responsibility or laying blame, your focus is misdirected and your energy is wasted. When you tackle your problems head on and take ownership, you reclaim your power to focus, and you are forced to focus on real solutions. When you focus on losing weight, all your mental power as well as will power is redirected, like a laser light, at your problem. You are then energized to do whatever it takes for however long it takes to get the results you want.
Focus leads to goals
It is easy to say 'I want to lose weight.' Anyone can do this. However, this is a mere wish. When you resolve to stop looking to others for solutions or blame, your renewed focus on your weight problem leads to goal setting. Once you set your goals, your renewed focus will enable you to achieve your daily goals. The more you achieve your daily goals, the better you feel about yourself. The better you feel about yourself, the more you achieve your goals. See how this all works out? It all starts with focus.
As you can see from the process above, the only person who can make you lose weight is you. Wrap your mind around this truth and let its power sink in. You have the power to achieve the ideal weight you want. You just have to give yourself permission to exercise this power.
